Wild Mountain might sound like a ride from Disneyland, but it offers plenty more adrenaline than anything you’d find there. That said, there’s plenty here for everyone as it’s one of the more family-friendly options.

It’s certainly large enough with over 100 acres of space, and 26 different trails. And the location is very convenient for those visiting the Twin Cities. On top of all that, the package holidays here are very affordable.

Spirit Mountain

This is the largest terrain park in the Midwest, offering 22 runs and eight lifts. It’s also one of the most scenic and beautiful options on this list; as you ascend mountain you’ll be treated to some absolutely stunning views of the harbour. Lutsen Mountains

There are the highest mountains on the North Shore, offering incredible views. Not only that, but it has an incredible 95 different runs across the four mountains and plenty of lifts including some of the longest and steepest around.

Buck Hill

This is a very popular metro-area location that helped to shape many famous skiers like Kristina Koznik and Lindsey Vonn to name just two. The airbag jump is perfect for freestylers with a 50×50 foot safety cushion finishing a 15 foot high jump. There are rentals, packages, lessons, and plenty of things to do making this an exciting and educational trip for any ski fans.
